Megan Shea resides in Denver, Colorado, with her fiancé, Justin Dunn, and his daughter, Keeva. Her debut children's book, The Birthday Bunny, holds a special place in her heart. She began writing it during a challenging time when her mother was bravely battling breast cancer.
In her quest to bring light and joy to her mother, Megan drew inspiration from one of her favorite childhood memories. Every year on her birthday, a magical bunny would create a scavenger hunt, leading her to hidden surprises. This cherished tradition was created by her mother, Janet Shea, and Megan is thrilled to share it with you all!
Although her mother watches over from heaven, Megan knows that every time a child reads The Birthday Bunny, it will bring a smile to her face.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to cancer research and patient care, supporting those facing their own journeys.
When not writing, Megan loves to stay active through hiking, running, skiing, Pilates, and playing soccer and tennis. If The Birthday Bunny doesn't achieve viral success, she plans to continue her career in software sales.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, Janet Shea has always held a deep affection for children. She recognized the potential in every child and felt immense joy in seeing the sparkle in their eyes during magical moments. Janet was the very first to welcome the Birthday Bunny into her home and with the help of her daughter, Megan, together they were able to bring the beloved birthday tradition to life. They are thrilled to share this special birthday tradition with others, so children everywhere can experience an extra dose of joy on their special day.
As Janet watches from heaven, Megan knows that each visit from the Birthday Bunny will continue to bring a big smile to her mother's face.
